Our Instructors and Staff

Linda  (a.k.a.  "Crush's Mom")

Linda is our beginner-intermediate instructor. She is a longtime dedicated horse person and her help and advice has been valuable to us all over the many years.  Her approach towards teaching is to show the rider how to get into what makes a horse tick.  She will help her students gain a decent grasp on 'why' we do what we do.  Linda has a special insightful way of calming horses and gaining their trust and she passes that along to all of us.  She is new to instructing students; but not new to horsemanship, as she has been working with them her entire life.

Danielle  (a.k.a. "Dee")

Danielle is an intermediate thru advanced riding instructor who concentrates her lessons on show events such as barrel racing, pole bending and etc.  Most of Danielle's students are learning how to do  different disciplines.   She is tiny and quiet by nature but her horse handling skills are very large. This makes Danielle ideal for the student who is timid and really wants to learn in comfortable quietness.   She is also good for calming a high energy student because  she is always 'cool' under pressure.   She teaches and trains her students well and takes great pride in her work.  Danielle has been an instructor since 2013.

Lauren (a.k.a. "Low-Raaain')

Lauren teaches intermediate English & Western riding. She started riding at age 9.  Lauren earned overall champion in English and also competed on mounted police horses.  Her specialty was show jumping; but she dabbled in cross country and dressage for one year.  Now, Lauren is competing in events such as barrels and pole bending and already she is running hard and  promising to win big in her age division at our shows.   Her specialty is fine tuning the riders with balance techniques to gain control and a good 'seat'.  Lauren has a very keen eye for the finest of details, making her ideal for polishing riders up!

Kara (a.k.a.  "Dynamite")

Kara is our intermediate to advanced instructor.  She is very skilled in speed eventing and she brings those skills into every lesson she teaches.   Kara shows her students how to not fear but always respect the horses.  She passes her skills and her horse sense to her students and gives them the power to be secure in what they are doing.   Kara will teach her lessons either mounted  or on the ground, depending on the level of student(s) she is working with.

Mrs. Bobbi (a.k.a. "Mom")

Bobbi is the owner and operator of Saddle Up & Ride and teaches all riders from beginner thru advanced with an emphasis on safety and handling emergency situations. She has been riding and working with horses just about all of her life and she participated in numerous horse show events mainly involving cattle. Bobbi learned to ride from her father and his legacy of riding and all he taught her is brought out in each lesson. Bobbi brings humor and catchy sayings to the lesson which helps the student recall situations as they relate. She has been a riding instructor since 2009.

Jake (a.k.a. "Pete'')

Jake is the beginners instructor in our group.  Most of the time, anyone having their first lesson or any basics lessons will have him.  Jake is Ms. Bobbi's son and his teaching style is very similar to hers.  He brings a lot of humor and patience and gentle care to the students and the horses.  Jake delivers horsemanship and strong relationship  techniques to the lessons which helps the beginners feel confidant and empowered.  Jake is also there for trail rides most of the time as a trail boss.  He also is the main announcer at all of the horse show events.
